Fine Sandy Loam Productions

NFSLP produces live theatre for the district, and is always keen to hear from any community members who want to have a go at being involved in the production of live performance - on stage, props, lighting, etc. whatever your interest may be.

In the past we have put on a play titled 'The Last Bread Pudding' with assistance from the Shire of Campaspe and it's Arts Officer, Leon Hammond, brought the Kyabram Theatrte Group to Nanneella to entertain our local community, assisted the Heritage Group with their weekend axtravaganza, and organised a trivia and casserole evening called the 'Winter Warmer'.

Spring has sprung, it is so dry – Bush Reserve Bonfire

Thank you to all those who turned up on Saturday night 27th October. It was one some will never forget – the bonfire was HUGE!

As people gathered around the sausage sizzle, the poets were encouraged to venture forth, and most notable was Fairlie McDonald who, sticking firmly by the rules, recited: -

Spring has sprung, it is so dry, and they say it’s global warming,

Al Gore’s taught everyone to fear, his message trumpets loud and clear,

That man has caused this storming.

But I’m concerned, we haven’t learned, the message should be dawning,

Time’s running out to turn about, the direction we are falling.

The world wants clues, but they refuse to read it in the bible.

They look to governments to show the way for our survival.

But if we really want to see a bright tomorrow morning,

We need to be on bended knee, and take seriously God’s warning.

Young and old poets of Nanneella and district – Thank You. Prepare for same time same place next year, to read, recite, and relate anything to those assembled.

Special thank you to Doug Small for coordination of the night, and also to Murray McDonald and Jeff Broad who kept the fire under control until the early hours of Sunday morning – daylight saving as well!!
